Cannabis Declared an “Essential Business”

Let me start by asking you a few questions. Are pharmacies essential? Are liquor stores essential? Do you enjoy drinking a glass of wine with dinner to help settle your nerves regarding the pandemic? Well, why should cannabis be any different? For medical patients, there’s really no difference between a pharmacy and a dispensary. And for recreational users, there’s no difference between a glass of wine and a joint.

Dispensaries have been doing just as much, if not more than other essential businesses to stop the spread of COVID-19. Shoppers aren’t allowed to touch the product anyway, and with 6ft spaced tape on the floor, and regular sanitizing of the surfaces, your dispensary might be the safest place to shop in town. Most dispensary staff wear gloves and masks, and clean their transaction area after each customer makes a purchase.

Consumers are thanking their dispensary staffs profusely, because without access to cannabis, their time in quarantine would be unmanageable. With the restrictions nearly every American is dealing with today, could you imagine not being able to have your drink or strain of choice? Not to mention the implications the closure of dispensaries would have on the black market! Make sure to thank your local cannabis businesses for proving their importance. And if you live in an illegal state, thank your local CBD and glass shops for providing a helping hand.
