As a musician myself, I can personally say that CBD is INCREDIBLE for musicians and artists alike. And trust me I’m not the only one… Rhianna, Barbara Streisand, Olivia Newton-John, Adam Levine, Willy Nelson, and Jared Leto agree with me. Not only can it help put the artistic mind at ease and calm nerves, it also can help with musician nightmares like carpel tunnel, tendonitis, and vocal polyps.
I find that when I have CBD in my system, It almost acts like a beta blocker. My nerves dissipate and all I can think about is how excited I am about showing off all of my hard work to my audience. It also gives my body a chance to calm down which in turn helps me avoid rushing through fast hard passages and sounding shaky. CBD truly has the power to end the pill popping culture associated with the music industry.
So many successful musicians perform so much that injuries like vocal polyps and tendonitis pop up often. John Mayer, Meghan Trianor, Madonna, and Adele have all had tour-ending injuries. CBD reduces inflammation which lessens vocal strain and actually makes singing easier according to Badgalriri. The combination of CBD, a well trained voice, hydration, and technique seems to be the answer to avoiding these performance injuries.
For someone like me who doesn’t sing, but plays an instrument, CBD topicals have been life changing. Before and during my intense practice sessions, I make sure to apply CBD to my wrists, neck, and back. Any musician with bad habits knows how painful practice can be. And even musicians with perfect technique sometimes have trouble with repetitive motion injuries. There’s nothing more crippling for a musician than a career ending injury, and CBD can do a lot to help avoid those painful symptoms.
