Extend Vape Coil Life

Many people are concerned about how often they have to change their coils. What many don’t know is that there are many ways to increase your coil life. Check out this video or read the transcription below to see what you can do to make your vape coil last longer.

Pods and coil life, there’s a couple things you want to keep in mind.

Number one is keep the pod or tank full. How full? Often there is a minimum fill line on the coil or tank itself. You don’t want your eliquid to go below this point. Why? If you look closely you’ll see that that that minimum line is at the bottom of the cotton holes on your coil. If your tank does not have a minimum line then just use those intake holes as your guide. Better yet, forget the minimum fill line all together and just focus on area of your coil that has the holes and shows the cotton inside. The reason you want to keep the ejuice above this line is because this is where the juice actually enters the coil. If your fluid level is below that hole then it cannot actually wick the juice up inside for vaping. You can get away with continuing to vape when the levels are below optimal however you will have to keep turning your vape to get the juice into those holes. You are however continually starving your coil for liquid and most likely degrading it with every vape. Keep your tank full. Keep your pod full.

Secondly watch how you are hitting your vape. If you are hitting it over and over again you may not be giving your coil enough time to rewick and ultimately killing your coil. Hit it a few times, give your mod a break then hit again. Hit it faster than it can wick and you will burn it and have to replace it tomorrow. This gets to be pretty important when you allow your juice to fall below the minimum line as described above.

The last thing is keep your battery charged. It makes more of a difference when you are running a device without a fire button however it still comes into play with all devices (expecially small salt nic nicotine devices. If you do not run enough power to a coil you end up caramelizing the juice within. This will cause your eliquid to turn dark and help to damage your coil.

Keep your tank full. Don’t hit it more than it was meant to be. Keep your battery charged. Stay away from cigarettes.
